Ophelia Battista is a dedicated legal professional with a diverse background that uniquely positions her to advocate for those in need. Born in New Jersey and raised between the vibrant beaches of the Jersey Shore and the sunny shores of Florida, Ophelia’s journey has been shaped by a deep appreciation for community and justice.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and Anthropology from the University of Central Florida, where her passion for law and social issues began to flourish. During her time at Florida Coastal School of Law, Ophelia honed her skills as a compassionate advocate, working with the wrongful convictions clinic and championing animal law initiatives.
Following her graduation, Ophelia entered private practice, where she focused on family law and criminal defense, providing her clients with the support and guidance they needed during challenging times. Her commitment to service led her to the State of Colorado, where she worked in family courts and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, addressing the complex issues faced by disabled veterans.
