Michelle was born in California and raised in Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma where she developed a love for the study of law. Michelle and her husband, Mike, moved to Albuquerque due to Mike’s military career, and they subsequently decided to make Albuquerque their permanent home.
Before attending law school, Michelle worked in the legal field for several years, including in the area of divorce and family law. She attended law school at the University of New Mexico School of Law where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Michelle completed an externship with the Honorable James O. Browning at the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, she worked as a law clerk at two well-respected civil defense firms, and she received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Family Law and the Thompson West Group Award for Domestic Relations Law.
Michelle practices in the area of divorce and family law where she incorporates the skills and knowledge she gained during her time as a civil defense attorney. She is a steadfast and effective advocate whether in the courtroom or during negotiations. She works tirelessly to meet each client’s unique needs and to resolve cases based on the best interests of her clients and their families.
When she’s not working, Michelle enjoys spending time with her friends and family and being outdoors. She loves playing sand volleyball, running and hiking with her husband and their dog in the foothills, and snowboarding and backpacking throughout New Mexico and Colorado.
